About this product
Preferred Gardens' Verzace BX is a small-batch, craft-cultivated flower available at ZenZest, New York's licensed adult-use dispensary serving Queens, Long Island, and Staten Island. Bred for distinctive character and cured with care, this selection represents the artisan end of New York's regulated cannabis market — sourced clean, tested to OCM standards, and ready for same-day delivery.
What it is
Cannabis flower is the dried and cured bud of the Cannabis sativa plant — the most direct, unmediated way to experience a cultivar's full aromatic and cannabinoid profile. Verzace BX from Preferred Gardens is a backcross expression, meaning breeders selectively re-introduced genetics from a parent strain to stabilize and intensify specific traits, whether that means terpene depth, structure, or resin production. Flower is typically ground and consumed via pipe, water piece, or rolled into a joint or blunt. Effects begin within minutes of inhalation, making it a format prized by experienced consumers who value immediacy and control over their experience.
Why this matters at ZenZest
Purchasing Verzace BX through ZenZest means every unit has cleared New York OCM's mandatory testing pipeline — screened for pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbials before it ever reaches a shelf. Preferred Gardens operates within the state's regulated supply chain, so traceability from cultivation to sale is documented. Buying outside a licensed retailer forfeits those protections entirely. ZenZest's two flagship locations and same-day delivery to 80-plus New York ZIP codes mean you access that compliance layer without compromise or inconvenience.
Pairings
Verzace BX suits a deliberate, sensory-forward session. Consider pairing it with a pour of sparkling water or a light citrus tea to keep the palate clean between pulls. For a sonic backdrop, low-tempo instrumental hip-hop or ambient electronic sets a complementary pace. If you're building a fuller ritual, a slow-burn concentrate or a terpene-forward vape cartridge from the same brand family can extend the experience. Works well for an unhurried evening in or a creative project that benefits from focused attention.
If it's your first time
If this is your first time consuming flower, start with a single inhalation and allow five to ten minutes before deciding whether to continue — onset is fast, but individual response varies. A dry herb vaporizer is a gentler entry point than open combustion for those with sensitive airways. Keep water nearby, choose a comfortable, familiar setting, and avoid mixing with alcohol until you understand how this format affects you personally. As with any adult-use cannabis product, start low and go slow.
Frequently asked
What is a backcross (BX) strain and why does it matter for flower quality?+
A backcross, abbreviated BX, is a breeding technique where a hybrid is crossed back with one of its parent strains. The goal is to lock in desirable traits — aroma consistency, bud structure, or resin density — while reducing genetic variability. For consumers, it often means a more predictable, refined expression of a strain's defining characteristics compared to a first-generation hybrid.
Is Preferred Gardens' Verzace BX flower lab tested?+
Yes. All cannabis flower sold through licensed New York adult-use retailers like ZenZest must pass OCM-mandated third-party laboratory testing before reaching the shelf. That testing covers potency, pesticides, heavy metals, and microbial contaminants. Certificates of analysis are part of the regulated supply chain and can typically be requested at point of sale.
How should I store Verzace BX flower to keep it fresh?+
Store flower in an airtight glass or food-grade container, away from direct light, heat, and humidity. A relative humidity pack in the 58–62 percent range helps maintain ideal moisture content without over-drying or introducing mold risk. Properly stored, cured flower generally holds its aromatic quality for several months. Avoid plastic bags, which can create static and degrade trichomes.
Can I get Verzace BX delivered to my address in New York?+
ZenZest offers same-day delivery to more than 80 New York ZIP codes. You must be 21 or older and present a valid government-issued ID upon delivery — the same requirement that applies in-store. Check the ZenZest website or contact the team directly to confirm your ZIP code is within the current delivery zone before placing an order.
What's the difference between buying this flower at ZenZest versus an unlicensed source?+
Licensed retailers operate under New York OCM oversight, meaning every product on the shelf has passed mandatory safety testing and comes with documented chain of custody. Unlicensed sources carry no such guarantees — product may be untested, mislabeled, or adulterated. Beyond safety, purchasing from a licensed retailer directly supports New York's regulated cannabis industry and the communities it serves.
