About this product
The Puffco Proxy Core Accessory in Onyx is a precision-engineered replacement and modular heating component designed for the Puffco Proxy pipe-style concentrate device. Finished in a deep black Onyx colorway, it maintains the Proxy's signature aesthetic while delivering consistent, temperature-controlled vapor from concentrates. Available at ZenZest's Queens-Long Island and Staten Island locations, with same-day delivery across 80-plus New York ZIP codes.
What it is
The Puffco Proxy Core is the heating chamber at the heart of the Puffco Proxy system — a modular, pipe-compatible concentrate vaporizer designed to be placed into a variety of glass attachments for a customizable dabbing experience. The Core heats concentrate material via an electronically controlled ceramic chamber, producing vapor that travels through whichever glass piece the user pairs it with. Because the Core is removable, it functions both as a replacement for a worn chamber and as a way to expand the Proxy ecosystem across multiple glass setups. The Onyx colorway is a matte-black finish that complements both minimal and statement glass pieces.
Why this matters at ZenZest
Purchasing accessories like the Puffco Proxy Core through a New York OCM-licensed adult-use retailer such as ZenZest ensures that the product is sourced through verified distribution channels, not grey-market importers or unvetted online resellers. ZenZest's buying team curates hardware that meets the standards expected by New York's regulated cannabis marketplace. Customers also gain access to knowledgeable floor staff at the Queens-Long Island and Staten Island flagship locations who can walk through compatibility, care, and setup — support that an anonymous online checkout cannot replicate.
Pairings
The Proxy Core pairs naturally with borosilicate glass water pieces that feature a 14-millimeter joint, allowing users to build a personalized rig around the modular system. For concentrate sessions, a small-batch live rosin or cured resin from ZenZest's concentrate selection complements the ceramic chamber's clean heat profile. Occasion-wise, the setup suits an unhurried evening at home — pair with a downtempo or jazz playlist and something savory, like aged cheese or charcuterie, to appreciate nuanced vapor flavor without distraction.
If it's your first time
If this is your first concentrate device, take time to read Puffco's official quick-start guide before loading the Core. Concentrate formats are more potent per draw than flower, so approach your first session conservatively and allow several minutes between draws to gauge the effect. Keep the ceramic chamber clean after each session with a cotton swab — residue buildup is the most common cause of diminished performance. ZenZest staff at either flagship location are available to walk you through the basics in person.
Frequently asked
Is the Puffco Proxy Core Onyx compatible with all Proxy glass attachments?+
Yes. The Proxy Core is the universal heating module for the entire Puffco Proxy ecosystem. It is designed to seat into any Proxy-compatible glass piece, including Puffco's own attachments and third-party glassware engineered to the Proxy form factor. The Onyx colorway is a cosmetic finish only and does not affect compatibility.
How do I know when it's time to replace my Proxy Core?+
Common indicators include noticeably diminished vapor production, uneven heating, or a persistent burnt taste even after thorough cleaning. Puffco recommends routine cleaning after every session. If cleaning does not restore performance, the ceramic atomizer inside the Core may be at end of life and replacement is advised. ZenZest carries the Core as a stocked accessory for this reason.
Can I buy the Puffco Proxy Core at ZenZest without purchasing the full Proxy device?+
Yes. The Proxy Core Accessory is sold as a standalone item, making it straightforward to replace a worn chamber or to own multiple Cores for different glass setups. It is available in-store at ZenZest's Queens-Long Island and Staten Island locations, and through same-day delivery to eligible New York ZIP codes.
What concentrates work best with the Puffco Proxy?+
The Proxy's ceramic chamber is well-suited to a range of extract textures — live rosin, live resin, badder, and sugar wax are all commonly used. Very runny distillates can be used but require careful loading to prevent overflow. ZenZest's concentrate selection includes options across these formats, and in-store staff can help match a product to your preference.
Does purchasing hardware at a licensed dispensary offer any advantages over buying online?+
Buying from a New York OCM-licensed retailer like ZenZest means the product enters through vetted distribution channels, reducing the risk of counterfeit or improperly stored hardware. You also gain access to staff guidance, a clear return-and-exchange policy governed by state retail standards, and the assurance that your purchase supports the regulated New York cannabis market.
